The holy fire reiki placement was beyond my wildest expectations. I walked into Marie’s workshop with zero knowledge and left ready and prepared to practice. The whole experience was relaxed and hands on and Marie establishes a very intimate and personal space for her students to feel comfortable. The placement was very powerful and delivered with such love...I’m confidently growing my own practice and feel so readily prepared to excel in the healing arts thanks to Marie’s direction.

Reiki is loving, guided energy
(Pronounced RAY-KEY) Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing therapy. Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's wisdom, universal spirit or higher power" and Ki which is "life force energy." It is a non-invasive therapy which aims to treat holistically and to restore homeostasis (whole-body balance). Our mind, body, and spirit need loving care and balance to flourish. Reiki energy has its own innate wisdom, therefore, it goes where it is needed. It is an amazing, powerful, yet subtle form of energy healing.

One of the most noticeable changes is often the reduced stress levels. Reiki is practiced in every country of the world and is being used in many settings including hospitals and hospice. Did you know that many major hospitals including The University of Michigan Hospital, Henry Ford Hospital, Spectrum Health Hospital and William Beaumont in Michigan use Reiki as a complementary healing technique?  When we are stressed, vital energy points in the body, also known as chakras, can become sluggish, or even blocked. When our chakras are blocked, energy cannot flow properly through our bodies. Reiki, clears these blockages, so our bodies can heal themselves, the way they were designed.

Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki
Holy Fire Reiki is a combination of traditional Usui Reiki and a contemporary evolution of Reiki.

What to expect during a Reiki session
In order to gain the most benefit, Reiki asks the receiver to actively accept healing and let go of things that no longer serve their best and highest good. The belief is once we allow ourselves to relax and "get out of our own way" our higher self knows exactly what our soul needs to release, heal and flourish.

The Reiki session
The atmosphere in my Reiki studio is cozy, and when you enter, a wonderfully warm and nurturing feeling envelops your mind, body, and spirit. During the Reiki session, you will remain fully dressed. I invite clients to remove their shoes, watches, and any restrictive outer clothing in an effort to maximize their comfort. You may be covered with a blanket, allowing you to feel cradled in loving warmth.

Since each client is unique, some are more open and ready to let go of blockages and others need to take more time. There is no right or wrong way to heal, because your intention will always ask for the healing to be for your “best and highest good.”

Distance Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki
Distance Reiki treatments are just as effective as in-person treatments, allowing you to receiving healing from afar. Reiki practitioners learn and receive three symbols, one of which is the "distance symbol." When invoked and used by a Reiki practitioner, this symbol allows the practitioner to send healing Reiki energy across time and space.

This symbol can also be used in-person to help clear blockages from the past, or across large parts of the body. Similarly, it can be used to cleanse neighborhoods or geographic places. When practicing Reiki on someone who is not physically present, this symbol is used to connect their energy.

Distance Reiki works according to the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which holds that we are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. As such, invoking this law during a distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link an object to the energy field of the recipient.
